In the annals of time, long before fate had fully revealed her hand, two souls were quietly being drawn together by forces neither could yet comprehend.
It was the year 2012 when Rosie and Fed first crossed paths, a young Federico & Rosie navigating the hallowed corridors of Year 12, blissfully unaware of the magic that was already quietly stirring. Neither can recall the precise moment their eyes first met, for such is the nature of destiny, it works in the shadows, long before we think to look for it.
Their paths continued to intertwine at the great institution of the University of Queensland, where they wandered the same grounds, perhaps shared the same lecture halls, and certainly found themselves drawn to the same gatherings, the same parties, the same enchanted nightclubs deep in the Valley. And yet, as if under some ancient and stubborn charm, the timing remained cruelly, persistently wrong.
And so the universe waited.
Then came 2021, a year of disruption and unexpected reunions. Rosie had returned early from the distant lands of Canada, her journey cut short by a dark and invisible force that had swept across the entire world. She found herself back in Brisbane, resettling, recalibrating. Fed, meanwhile, had long since taken up residence in the great southern city of Sydney.
They encountered one another in passing, at Jamie's gathering on the shores of Palm Beach, at Lewis's quarters in Bondi Junction, and though little was said, something ancient and knowing flickered between them.
It was not yet time. But it was close.
The moment of magic arrived in December 2021, delivered, as the best magic often is, by a trusted ally. Claire, Rosie's most loyal and wonderfully mischievous best friend, escorted Ben and Fed to the AGM, the sacred Annual Boys' Lunch, before pulling Rosie aside and whispering words of encouragement that would change everything. That very afternoon, Claire and Ben conspired in the shadows, weaving together a plan of magnificent mischief, and before the evening was out, Rosie and Fed had shared their first kiss.
The spell, at last, had been cast.
And as if the stars themselves had been in on it all along, Rosie had already made plans to relocate to Sydney within the month. Fed could scarcely believe his luck.
In January, he gathered his courage and asked Rosie on a date, her very first weekend in the city. The evening was nothing short of extraordinary. There were drinks, there was laughter, and there was the unmistakable feeling that something irreversible and wonderful had just begun.
From that night on, their story has been written together , and something tells us, the best chapters are still to come.
